Welcome to the Interactive Research Methods Lab! Please check the tabs below depending
on the way in which you would like to use the Interactive Research Methods Lab's 360
Virtual Tour.
Ways of using the IRML
Using the Interactive Research Methods Lab's 360 Virtual Tour in a traditional web-based
fashion
Using the Interactive Research Methods Lab's 360 Virtual Tour in this way, will allow
you to interact with the web-based resources that have been developed by our team for each of the nine steps of the process to generate well-informed research designs.
In order to use the lab in a traditional web-based fashion, please follow the directions

Using the Interactive Research Methods Lab's 360 Virtual Tour in an augmented reality manner
Using the Interactive Research Methods Lab's 360 Virtual Tour in this manner, will
allow you to have an augmented reality experience that will guide you through the
interactive resources that have been developed by our team for each of the nine steps we propose for the development of well-informed research
designs. In order to use the lab in an augmented reality fashion, please follow the
directions below:
More detailed information regarding the steps to follow can be found in the tabs below.
Step 1. Download the Metaverse App
MetaverseTo begin your experience please download in your cell phone or tablet the "Metaverse
- Augmented Reality" App.
Step 2. Create an account in the Metaverse App and start enjoying the experience
After having installed the Metaverse App, we recommend opening the App and creating
an account (even though it is not mandatory).
Then please click on “Scan code.”
Point your device to the augmented reality codes you will find in the interactive
points of interest you will find in the 360 virtual tour of the Interactive Research
Methods Lab, that you can find below.
Then you will be able to navigate through the augmented reality experience for each
of the nine steps conforming the process of generating a solid research design.
Step 3. Check additional Resources
The Interactive Research Methods Lab, is based on the structure proposed by the Hopscotch Model(Jorrín- Abellán, 2016)(Jorrín-Abellán, 2019). Hopscotch is a theoretical model and a webtool to help novice researchers generate
solid and well-informed research designs in Social Sciences and Education. It was
originally created in 2014 as a tool to help graduate students develop qualitative
research designs. You can see below the research steps proposed by the Hopscotch Model.
Clicking on the image below to get access to a number of resources and guides that
will help you in better understanding the augmented reality contents presented in
the 360 virtual tour.
Step 4. Check your responses
The responses given to each of the steps can be found in this wall (or see below). Please look for the posts with your Metaverse user account name.
