Ways of using the IRML

  • Using the Interactive Research Methods Lab's 360 Virtual Tour in this way, will allow you to interact with the web-based resources that have been developed by our team for each of the nine steps of the process to generate well-informed research designs. In order to use the lab in a traditional web-based fashion, please follow the directions below:

     

     

  • Using the Interactive Research Methods Lab's 360 Virtual Tour in this manner, will allow you to have an augmented reality experience that will guide you through the interactive resources that have been developed by our team for each of the nine steps we propose for the development of well-informed research designs. In order to use the lab in an augmented reality fashion, please follow the directions below:

    To begin your experience please download in your cell phone or tablet the "Metaverse - Augmented Reality" App.

    You can also download a QR reader App (QR Reader from Google Play or QR Reader from Apple store) to your mobile device and scan the QR codes below so you can install the "Metaverse - Augmented Reality" App:

    1. After having installed the Metaverse App, we recommend opening the App and creating an account (even though it is not mandatory).
    2. Then please click on “Scan code.”
    3. Point your device to the augmented reality codes you will find in the interactive points of interest you will find in the 360 virtual tour of the Interactive Research Methods Lab, that you can find below.
    4. Then you will be able to navigate through the augmented reality experience for each of the nine steps conforming the process of generating a solid research design. 

  • The Interactive Research Methods Lab, is based on the structure proposed by the Hopscotch Model (Jorrín- Abellán, 2016) (Jorrín-Abellán, 2019). Hopscotch is a theoretical model and a webtool to help novice researchers generate solid and well-informed research designs in Social Sciences and Education. It was originally created in 2014 as a tool to help graduate students develop qualitative research designs. You can see below the research steps proposed by the Hopscotch Model. Clicking on the image below to get access to a number of resources and guides that will help you in better understanding the augmented reality contents presented in the 360 virtual tour. 

  • The responses given to each of the steps can be found in this wall (or see below). Please look for the posts with your Metaverse user account name.
