Services for BCOE students and faculty

Description
The Interactive Research Methods Lab (IRML) offers its services to BCOE students and faculty. The innovative physical and virtual spaces of the IRML provides students with personalized instruction and practical experience in the generation of qualitative, quantitative, and mixed-methods research designs, using Augmented Reality interactive contents (ARC). Moreover, the lab offers faculty and research teams one-on-one methodological consulting sessions in the design of research studies, the development of literature reviews and conceptual frameworks, and in the analysis of data. We also assist faculty in the development of personalized research-related lesson plans to be included in their own courses.
All services provided to BCOE faculty and students are free of charge.

Services for KSU Students and Faculty

DescriptionThe Interactive Research Methods Lab (IRML) will begin offering its services in Fall 2020 to KSU units, departments and colleges interested in taking advantage of this new resource on campus. The IRML offers innovative physical and virtual spaces providing students with personalized instruction and practical experience in the generation of qualitative, quantitative, and mixed-methods research designs, using Augmented Reality interactive contents (ARC). Moreover, the lab offers faculty and research teams one-on-one methodological consulting sessions in the design of research studies, the development of literature reviews and conceptual frameworks, and in the analysis of data. We also help faculty in the development of personalized research-related lesson plans to be included in their own courses.
The IRML's team is formed by five experienced researchers and a graduate librarian that will assist students and faculty in their research endeavors. The lab will be offering its services in the form of memberships (packets of services that can be purchased by units, departments, and colleges, and also in the form of hourly individual services that can also be purchased by individuals.

Basic MembershipThis membership includes a total of 50 consulting hours ($100.00/h) for KSU members (non-BCOE). It is intended for units, departments and colleges interested in offering the Interactive Research Methods Lab as a resource for their faculty and students. The cost of the membership is $5,000.00, and includes the following:
- 5 hours of training for one faculty to become college/department/unit/service IRML’s
liaison
- A faculty member from each participating college/department/unit/service will be trained in the lab usage.This faculty will serve as an IRML liaison connecting faculty in her unit (department, service, college) with the IRML team.
- Up to 20 consulting hours for the preparation of lab’s usage
- Development of personalized lesson plans for faculty interested in using the lab with their students
- Support to embed IRML guides & resources in D2L courses
- Up to 10 hours of lab’s usage
- Sessions with groups of undergraduate students in the lab
- Sessions with groups of graduate students in the lab
- Up to 15 hours of methodological consulting
- One-on-one methodological consulting for undergraduate students working in capstone projects
- One-on-one methodological consulting for graduate students working in dissertation proposals, theses, dissertations
- One-on-one methodological consulting for faculty and/or research groups conducting SoTL (Scholarship of Teaching and Learning) projects

Premier Membership
This membership includes a total of 75 consulting hours ($95.00/h) for KSU members (non-BCOE). It is intended for units, departments and colleges interested in offering the Interactive Research Methods Lab as a resource for their faculty and students. The cost of the membership is $7,125.00, and includes the following:
- 5 hours of training for one faculty to become college/department/unit/service IRML’s
liaison
- A faculty member from each participating college/department/unit/service will be trained in the usage of the lab.
- This faculty will serve as an IRML liaison connecting faculty in her unit (department, service, college) with the IRML team.
- Up to 30 consulting hours for the preparation of lab’s usage
- Development of personalized lesson plans for faculty interested in using the lab with their students
- Support to embed IRML guides & resources in D2L courses
- Up to 15 hours of lab’s usage

Description
The Interactive Research Methods Lab (IRML) will begin offering its services in Fall 2020 to schools, districts, NGOs, and other organizations interested in using this innovative space as a professional development tool for their faculty and members. The professional development offered by our team of experts is focused in the promotion of data-driven decision making (DDDM) practices by providing teachers and social agents with an interactive toolkit to help them learn research methods and generate research designs that will allow the analysis and improvement of their daily practices.
The lab will be offering its services in the form of memberships (packets of services that can be purchased by schools, districts, NGOs, and other organizations, and also in the form of hourly individual services that can also be purchased by individuals.

- 20 consulting hours for the preparation of lab’s usage
- Development of personalized lesson plans for users interested in using the lab for professional development purposes
- Support to embed IRML guides & resources in the organization’s virtual learning environment
- 10 hours of lab’s usage
- Sessions with groups of users (professional development) to learn how to develop well-informed research designs to promote data-driven decision making practices.
- 15 hours of methodological consulting
- One-on-one methodological consulting for users involved in research studies and professional development processes.
- One-on-one methodological consulting for graduate students working in dissertation proposals, theses, dissertations
- One-on-one methodological consulting for faculty and/or research groups conducting SoTL projects
- One-on-one methodological consulting with faculty/students for data analysis
- Access to online resources and research guides
